Something electrical....98 Civic EX
I just brought my car out of storage and noticed that on occasion at idle and at the bottom of 3rd gear (when shifting from 2nd to 3rd at normal RPMs) my lighting system seems to flicker. Any ideas on what might be causing this? It's starting to bug me out especially at night on back roads. I'm afraid of the dark!!

It could be the battery because it's been sitting around for 4 months. I will check around for the ground wires and such as well. Great advice guys, thanks!

i have similar problems. my lights go dim and then all of a sudden it gets bright and stays like that for a while and then goes dim. sometimes it will flicker.

Sounds like you have the infamous voltage-regulator problem. You need to get a new alternator. You alternator can last a while acting like this, but eventually it will not charge you battery and you will not be able to start your car. Later!

or the flickering is caused by aftermarket pullys.
They slow the rotating assembly and thus supply less voltage.........you go faster, you get bright lights.....you stop at a light, lights dim.......
