CHARGING PROBLEMS ON CIVIC- URGENT!
I've been having charging problems on my 98 civic lx. The alternator has been replaced with a brand new Honda one and the bateery has been swapped out three times. The problem I'm having is at idle the voltage is only reading 12.9 volts so the battery isn't getting charged. It will go up to 13.9 where it should be when revving the motor. Could there be something wrong in the ecu? I know it's not the alternator because I had the old one tested and it's fine. All of the factory grounds and power wires have been upgraded to two guage. This has got me baffled and I work with car audio all day. I need help.

u might want to check your battery cables..they may be exposed at some point along the wire and be grounding out....also check the wires coming off the alternator those go bad alot...and just make sure u have a good connection to the battery and that the terminals on the battery and the cables are both clean

All of the power and grounds have been upgraded and we did check the run of the wires and there are no shorts. Has anybody ever heard of something going wrong in the ecu?
