SOHC springs on a DOHC car...bigger drop?
I just picked up a set of H&R sports from an 00 EX to put on my 00 Si, but a couple people said that H&R has a couple different spring rates for the two different cars. Is this true? so then would the 00 EX springs drop my Si more cuz my motor is heavier than the EX's?
would there be any difference in ride quality between the two sets of springs? They'd be put on stock shocks with 205/50/15's on the stock rims.
TIA

many companies have one set of springs for all 96-00 civs. So you will be fine with the EX springs. Yes, you will get just a tiny bit more of a drop than you would on the EX, but it should be hardly noticeable. Also, ride quality would be just a bit smoother, but again, probably wont' be able to tell the diff between an EX or SI.

You already got your answer.
But anyhow, Sports springs are stiff, so the change in weight won't make a differences.
On OEM springs, never put a Si springs on a EX or CX. I've seen people who have done both. Therefore, I assume it's across the board on DX and LX too. They cruise the ebay sites thinking Si springs will tighten gaps and improve performance.
Yes, they fit pefect, if you want the 4X4 look. More so on the light CX. Sellers are to blame as well as the buyers.
