Smog Issues
Ok i know some of u have heard this a million times. I have also but the story is I swapped a b16 into my 92 eg. Now I have run into trouble my motor had to have been out of a xsi, the map is not mounted to the throttle body, I know I have to compare it to a del sol vtec where do i mount the map i searched and searched and could not find a diagram. From what I understand, I cant use the jdm p30 computer I have to get the del sol computer right? Also where does the CAT go on the pipeing. Also the motor stamp is 9/1 will they give me **** about that its a 5 series motor with hydrulic tranny and everything. I know in production they pop **** out a year early.
Thanks

Re: (hatchish)
if you had used any punctuation what so ever, I may have considered reading the entire paragraph. Since my head started to hurt halfway through the second line, I gave up. This may be why you are not getting responses.

Ok my JDM B16A didn't have the throttle body mounted MAP. Just run a vac line and mount it to the firewall. My throttle body had a threaded hole on the bottom which worked great for me. If you are really concerned with the mounting being on the flywheel hit up the boneyard and scoop any ODB-I throttle body, except the dinky SOHC D15B8 and ****, you know.. JDM P30 will work fine, but probably not for CA smog.. I don't get WTF you mean about the O2 sensor.. But living in CA I would say a 94 Del Sol VTEC ECU (USDM P30) would be the best bet. Or just put the origional motor in each time you have to take smog.. J/P..
