Small but annoying problem.....
Well after having the headgasket crap out on my 94 cx (d15b8) I decided to go ahead and put a new one on and go ahead and change the valve seals and have it milled because im sure it needed it. Well fast forward to about four months later and this lengthy project comes to an end.
I fire the car up expecting the sound of the engine falling apart but none of that, it fired up and sounded smooth as butter. Now the small but shitty problem, the car will idle fine for a few moments then get rough and once in a while die on me at a light or if im coasting at idle. Its also very hesitant unless you just rev it up and pretty much dump the clutch which is why I havent been driving it. Ive checked all my vaccum lines a million times and im quite sure I have all sensors hooked up.
I just took off the dizzy cap and discovered the "red death" and my cap and button arent looking to healthy but it ran good before all this **** happened. Im going out to grab a new cap and button and look to rebuild the part in the dizzy thats going out (cant remember the name.... shaft busing???) Could the car sitting in the garage for months of caused this????
cliffs....
headgasket went
put on a new H.G., did valve seals, had head milled
now will run smooth but idle rough every few seconds or so and occasionaly dies and is hesitant to go unless you rev it up and dump it.
Discovered red death in the dizzy cap and it looks kinda shoot but ran good before.
thanks
Joey
