Sitting a while in a garage and black smoke...
Well i have a project in my garage and i've been working on it for about a year now here and there....Before i stored it and pulled it off the road i filled it up with 93 pump fuel. Prior to storing it there was no smoke at all form what i know. Well it sat most of the winter months with very few start ups dew to working 80+ hours 7 days a week over the winter.
Well when spring hit i started to start it more and more and the first thing i realized is when i first start it up a large cloud of black smoke likes to fill the back of my garage.... So i did an oil change with Mobil 1 full synthetic.
To cure most of this black smoke what do you suggest?
I plan on replacing the fuel filter, thermostat, and water pump anyways prior to boosting it....(more details in my build thread in my sig)

did you drive it? you probably have some carbon build up in the combustion chamber. i would say drive it and blow it out a little bit and see if you dont get rid of some of that smoke.
*btw do you have a catalytic converter or a test pipe?

It is definitely carbon build up.. what you should do is do a 2-part on it. My buddies EG was the same way, just filled the shop with smoke. We took it out to my garage and did a 2 part on it and then you basically get to beat the **** out of the motor all the way home! heheh but, im not responsible if you cause damages. if you want to do it, do it at your own risk!
