Simple Mods to a 97 civic

Simple Mods to a 97 civic
so i have a 97 civic HX and am interested in putting in a new air intake and exhaust. can anyone suggest a good brand, also and i apologize i dont know too much about cars but how would my friend and i go about swapping out the stock intake for the newer one.

i made a post earlier, they told me to just get a regular intake pipe with a K&N filter and you're set. i also heard good stuff about dc sport headers. i don't know possibly could be debated.

That's probably your best bet.
Though for an HX with a stock motor you're probably better off just getting a 60 dollar ebay special instead of spending 400 on a DC Sports header.
Cheap ebay pipe + K&N or AEM filter = Win.
Though in all honesty you're not gonna notice jack **** of an increase in power - maybe a little throttle response because of the shorter piping is all - you won't really gain any HP, maybe 1-2hp - not worth it IMO.

aem,injen,fujita,etc are good brands... check in the sponsor marketplace for a good deal. to install: remove the airbox, and intake tube. replace with new intake per manf. instructions.

99-00 front-end conversion will be better..then save up and do a motor swap.....!!..
