Default which side up on headgasket

about to put my HG on, it can be flipped so im wondering which way is up? one way the part around the piston on the sleeves it raised, other side its indented.. raised side up?

The B-series gaskets have "UP" printed on them, though I'm not certain about the D-series.

there is only one way it can go on, just make sure all the holes line up. im sure the fel pro has "up" on it

it can be flipped and everything still lines up... and theres no markings on either side..

yes you can flip it and the rear oil passages doenst line up. if you install it upside down, when you start it up, oil will shoot out the back of the block. thats why i said just check all the holes and see if they all clear

you can flip it (like a page of a book) with out flipping it upside down, still changes sides and lines up.

im asking if it matters what side, because its embossed or whatever you call it


edit: figured it out , the shape of U and P is cut out of the rubber on one side lol
