This makes no sense to me.

The CX's didn't have moldings, just indents where the moldings were.

ok... so this is pointless. the only person that has posted anything helpful was FIST321. everyone else is just saying its a cx ect, but nothing to help.
1)is it possible to make the holes needed for the clip style side molding?
2)is double sided tape the only way to do so?
note: i do know that if the surface is clean before applied, 3M double sided tape will hold moldings on with no problem, especially since a lot of newer body style cars have molding held with double sided tape.

Re: side molding... im new to this stuff (vandersmissenc)
well like i said ... im new to this stuff, my dad said it was a cx but the manual says it is a Dx , can someone tell me where to find the model number on the engine because that will tell me whether it is cx or Dx.
also my friend said that u can drill holes the size of the clip and it should just push in and expand so i think im going to try that.

i wouldnt, i bet you could, but then you have to worry about rust, and filling the holes, just get the 3mm tape ones, or just dont have side moldings, thats what i would do,

im not following, let me try to help. why are you so contempt on drilling holes and popping moldings in? listen, if you go drilling holes that aren't ment to be there, thats going to be nothing but trouble i promise. yes, you could do it, but why? go to autozone/advance auto parts/western auto/napa auto parts, etc. pickup a pack of 3M trim molding double sided tape, it works wonderfully, trust me. i've used that stuff for 3 years now on all sorts of things(a peice of that tape, trimmed to fit, holds on my rear honda h emblem on my trunk). its your choice, but i'm telling you from my personal experience, please use the tape, dont drill. your asking for nothing but trouble adding holes that arent ment to be.
