you can but it wouldn't be the proper way it will hold down but it wont serve any purpose and it will be there for looks and not function just bolt it down the right way.

Honestly no unless your taking hard turns to make the body flex if you were to do it though yes you can tell. When i say a hard turn im talking about a nice sharp turn at 30 mph or higher.
