Default 99 -00' Si Strut Bar on a 97' Ex

Hi All

Looking for some information from someone who has installed a 99-00 Si Strut Bar on a 96-00' EX before. There are no holes for the strut bar, I know I need to drill, but I don't know what diameter drill bit I will need, or what type of bolts I will need or how to get the bolt through from the bottom. Also how this bar beneficial for handling since it isn't attached to the struts themselves.

place the bar where you want it, nice and center, mark where the holes are... then drill holes the same size as the bolts your using. jack up side of car to put bolts from below with some washers and there you go. use some grade 8 bolts from home depot or something, obviously not to long. common sense.

how beneficial is the bar? i don't really know, think honda made it for no reason

So baically this strut bar attaches to the shell of the body? Yeah that doesn't sound very beneficial, but looks dope!

Yea, as that thread above says, i used a 5/16" drill bit first. You should hold your bolts up to the drill bit, and make sure the bit is as wide as the outer threads. I wrote that post, and I reccomend going to comptech, as this guy Joe sold me those pieces with the 2 bolts in it for like 18$, which was not bad, seems a lot for the bolts, but their bar is over 200$ and mine was 20$ on ebay.
