si cd player in a 97 ek hatch?
does a 99-00 si oem cd player compatible with a 97 ek hatch? I also am wondering about newer model oem cd players like the ones from the
02-05 si ,02-05 lx.ex civics, and 01-07 s2000's. Does anybody know if the s2000's and (lx,ex)civic's light up amber?

The 99-00 Si radio will not be plug and play into your 97 Civic. You will need a conversion harness made from a 96-98 Civic radio harness and a 99-00 Civic reverse radio harness.
The S2000 radio does light up amber. If an amber radio is what you are looking for a 97-98 Prelude radio lights up amber and is plug and play and cheaper than a 97-01 ITR radio.

those 2 plugs can be purchased at bestbuy for about $20 and will make it plug n play just ask them for a reverse harness for a 96-98 which is the white plug and get a harness for a 99 and up which is the blue plug and wire them up and there you go.......really easy....if you live in the area I can help you..

I dont think he asked if it was plug n play I think he asked if it was compatible....and that it is....just swap the harness..

Will what you say also work on a 97 civic ex coupe as will?

Did you get the anti-theft code? If you didn't it won't work unless you have the code.
