Installing a 00 oem cd player in to a 97 civic
Ok, obviously I need a new harness for it to work. But I've been looking around and all I've seen are the female versions. For it to work, I'm going to need two pieces...
Half of it needs to connect to my oem harness, then I need to do some splicing for it to connect and plug into my cd player.
But where do I get the part that goes into my cd player? I know people have done this, so its not some big mystery.
Any help would be appreciated.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I guess I need a reverse harness.
I'm just sorta bummed, I went to Best Buy yesterday to get it and the guy gave me the wrong one..

You need about 30 bucks in harness'. You need a reverse harness for a 96-98 and a standard harness for a 99-00. Wire them together by matching all the colors and then plug into stock harness and the back or radio. Really clean and turns out nice.

So, I got both of the harnesses, now I'm just trying to figure out the illumination wire. I can't seem to find a matching wire on one of the harnesses..
Hmmm..

Also, how do you get the radio to stay put? I I don't see anything for it to screw into like the 99-00 dash has.
I'm such a newbie to 96-98
