Help with 99-00 Si CD player

Default Help with 99-00 Si CD player

I searched so don't tell me do so. I have a 00 Si CD player, and I want to install it into my EG Si, has anyone done this on here? That can help me out? Thanks

its plug and play, just get a harness and match up the colors

Egtek is right just get a harness for your car match the colors, I've done it works great.

What hanrness? I have an aftermarket CD player thats crap in my car right now, but my harness is not cut.

The plugs are different. Honda changed the plugs over in 99 for the radios so you have to use a 99 plug and either splice in the new plug or use an adapter, just like how you install aftermarket radios.

You will also need the radio code to get it to work because of the anti-theft system they have.You can give the radio serial number to someone at Honda the get the radio code for it.

Ok so I need a cut radio harness from a 99-00 Si? Cus if I get a kit they are both female adapters, how am I supposed to connect them?

You need the plug (male) from a 99+ Civic that goes into the radio. If you don't want to cut your existing harness, you can buy a Radio harness (female plug) that fits into the existing plug in your car. Then connect the wires from the radio harness to the plug that goes into the radio itself. This will allow you to not have to cut into your stock harness.

well my harness is not cut, I have an after market CD player. So I need to find a harness (male)? Where??!?!?! How? Junk yard?

ive done the same thing youre trying to do. but i found a CRV plug from a junkyard and just matched the colors to the stock wires. i remember 96+ Civic and all CRV plugs to be the ones that work with the Si cd player.
