Default shift linkage thoughts

hey i am planning on purchasing a D16 jdm motor. I have the 1992 civic hatch canadian with the 1.5 non vtec. will the shift linkage be the same or will i need to get the d16 shift linkage? and how hard is the wiring for the vtec? the motor i want comes with the ecu, motor, and trans im just unsure of the shift linkage and wiring situation. thanks alot.

some other random things...yea im new what does the EK and EG mean and whats a dizzy.

Everyone is going to scream "search" so I'll just get that out of the way. There are plenty of tutorials answering your questions throughout this site and the rest of the internet.

dizzy = slang for distributor. VTEC wiring is extremely easy. Since yours is a 92, it should be prewired for VTEC.
