Shift Light Help
i have a 2000 honda civic and i needed some help wiring this thing. On the Shift light there are 3 wires; red green and black. Obviously the red goes to a power source and the black to ground, and the green i guess goes to the tach wire. My question is i have a ex cluster put in my car with the tach built in and in the wiring there are also three wires, and i was wondering if those three could just get cut and soldered together?

What? A shift light has to be activated by something. Hooking the green wire to your tach won't do anything. You need an RPM "pill" or something to throw signal to that wire once it reaches the desired RPM. DO NOT solder whatever three wires you are talking about together.
