Shift Lever Problem
I've had this problem for a long time and decided to see if anyone knows what causes it. Whenever i got from reverse to drive (auto tranny) it takes excessive effort to move the shift lever into drive. When i say excessive i mean when it does end up in drive, it ends up in D2 b/c of how much force i have to use. It seem to happen more severly when the engine is cold (and in the winter) then when the enigine is warm (and in the summer). This leads me to think that this has something to do with the tranny fluid, but i can't think of any tranny compenent that would cause this problem. Does any1 know what causes this problem? The tranny fluid looks fine, however i don't know when it was last changed.

Re: Shift Lever Problem (AgentofDarkness)
Bump + update. I just took apart the shift lever assembly. I disconnected the shift lever and the shift cable and shift lever was not sticking like it usually did, so the shift lever assembly is fine. Now i'm thinking that the cable could be the problem but that doesn't make sense since the problem is always worse when its cold out.
