Setting best ignition timing
My car is a 94 del Sol EG2, ( B16A3) Stock internals, I/H/E. Ok So I had to change my dizzy, it semi-died. ( With new dizzy, it runs again) Thing is, my car is tuned on ECTune, and I want to know whats the best I can get it to how it was WITHOUT paying my tuner again just to get it back there. Anyways, I've read gargantuan amounts of threads in recent AND archived content. I have a few doubts.
Should I just try to set it to 16* BTDC and let the computer handle the rest?
OR
Should I stick the old dizzy in there ( IT IS MARKED) and check timing at crank to see what the timing was with my old dizzy so I can replicate it with new dizzy?
Or
Any other suggestions you guys can provide.
I know I will need a timing gun, and I bookmarked the threads that explain how to set it. PLEASE HELP! My car was tuned like 3 months ago it would suck to be below the tuned potential just because of a damned dizzy! Or worse yet pay the whole thing again just to RETURN to where it was
THANKS IN ADVANCED like always

Re: Setting best ignition timing (Juan_Mitosis)
if your a true tuner you can actually advance or retard the distributor and listen to the motor and hear how it sounds idling.. of course you should warm up the motor first and wait till it idles correctly.
