Default Safe boost level on stock D16Z6?

I have a stock 95 civic I just picked up, and I picked up a "rev speed" complete turbo kit on ebay for about a grand. It says the kit is capable of 25 psi, but obviously that isnt possible on a stock motor. I am also in a wheelchair because I flipped my other civic about a year ago and broke my back and I am paralized from the waist down. So I have to drive with my hands now and use hand controls so this car had to be automatic So there is another thing that will force me to make my boost level lower. So my question is, what is a safe level to run on this car? It has stock everything and the trans runs good, no slipping. I was thinking like 5 psi which with the intercooler would bring it down to like 4 psi going into the motor. And if that went well, maybe uping it to 8 psi? Let me know if you think that is too much, or if you think I can go higher. Any suggestions welcome.

I am not too worried about going crazy fast in this car, not because of what happened but because I have a twin turbo 5 liter mustang that is upwards of 700 hp, so if I want to go fast I just take a ride in that

Sorry to hear about your misfortune man. But at 5 psi you'll be fine in all aspects, and at 8 also. Intercooler shouldnt affect your psi that much, if you have the boost gauge hooked to to the intake mani and you see 5 psi, thats what you'll have. 8-10 should be perfectly safe.

ok guys thanks for the help, i am new to the whole turbo thing, the kit didnt come with a boost controller, but said the wastegate was set to 7 psi. Do I need to get a boost controller or can I just adjust the nut on the wastegate to change boost levels?

Sure thing man, but you will need a boost controller to crank it past 7 psi (ebay, voodoo for like $20). Although if the stock w/g set at 7, you might have to get a external w/g, i dont think you can change the stock ones but i cant say for sure.

Since it is, then all you need is a w/g to turn it up, wouldnt go past 10 psi though.

Unfortunately, the automatic is going to be your limiting factor.

Stock z6's can support up to ~250whp, assuming you have a good tune.
