Default SAFC wiring

Hi there

I have installed my S-AFC and the car does not want to run right even at 0 settings. I've tapped the MAP sensor wires on the ECU (P30) for the air flow sensor on the AFC unit. It sounds like a put-put at idle. I believe all my settings are also correct.

4 Cylinder
Pressure Sensor IN=6 OUT=6

Can anyone help me out with this?

93 Si hatch, JDM B16A, P30 ECU.

is it a safc 2? if it is set your flap and hot wire settings to 0 and your pressure 6in 6 out.

It is SAFC 1. There are also flap and hot wire settings? Would those even make a difference?

make sure u do a reset of all settings then ur map settings look good and throttle is (up and to the right arrow i believe) make sure ur grounds are in the right order i believe brown is closer to the ecu or black I dont remember this was a long time ago... hope that helps somewhat.. if not ur taps might not have broke through the insulation or a faulty unit.

I've tried 2 other guy's SAFC's and they do the same thing. They've not running Hondas though. All the taps are definitely spliced properly. Is it normal to get a CEL? All the settings have been reset and set up to 0 changes.

if u are getting a cel ur ecu is most likely not receiving the map sensor voltage. could be reversed wiring on the map sensor wire or still in the sittings unless a splice managed to cut all the way through one of the other wires.

i did the whole afc hack on my turbo set up and when i got done installing it and set everything, went to start it,,,he was falling on his face...the CEL came on and it was the map, so i was just think it was to rich so i went and changed my idle up to 1500 rpm...went to start samethang, i went into where the flap and hot wire is and set those to 0 and 6in 6out for pressure,, started right up!!!

I had flap and hot wire both set to 0. I am 101% sure I have all the connections spliced properly. I will go in and check with a volt meter tonight when I get home.

Ok, I checked the wiring in my work parking lot.
The wires tapped are
Power A25
Throttle D11
A23 Ground brown is near ecu, black is away from ecu, wire is not cut
D17 MAP yellow is close to ecu, white is away from ecu and the MAP wire is cut

I did the sensor check on the SAFC unit and get Init 1 0V
Init 2 0V
Thr 0.1xxxV and 4.5ish anf wot

When I switch the Yellow and White wires around I get init1 4ish V and init 2 under 1V but the car still runs like crap and settings have no effect.

Would something run funny if I accidently tapped D19 instead of D17?

D17-MAP Map Signal Wht/Blu, About 3V KOEO (Varies with Temperature)
D19 - Red/Wht, Reference Voltage, About 5V KOEO
