Default running on 3 cylinders

if i was running or 3 cylinders would my fuel economy go up or down. also would i be running rich. my car has been really wierd lately. some days it has power other days it doesnt. any help will be appreciated

Uhmm..your economy should go down. Your injectors are still squiting the fuel and you are only making power with 3 cylinders so you should get worse fuel economy. I had a civic DX run on 3 cylinders for about 6 months. Prior to the hole in the valve I got about 40 MPG after that about 30 MPG. Makes pretty good sense to me, but I am sure that the loss isnt exactly linear, but it seems like it.

i think u could tell if you were running on 3 cylinders. The car would idle like ****. You can try pulling each plug wire off and seeing if your idle changes at all.

It will idle ok, it's when you give it gas that it gets upset.

If your car is a Geo Metro, I'd say your fuel economy wouldn't go down or up; it would just be stock.
