RPM Range.
I have recently bought a civic again..
COming back from AT 02' Accord, many things were unfamiliar.
So, here's the spec of my car.
Its 00' EM1
5zigen catback
injen intake.
Motor has about 124k.
Its just lowered on coilover.
However, my question is..
When I'm crusing at 60 mph, I noticed the RPM hangs @ 3500'ish.
Is that something normal? or is that little too high?
I do lot of commuting on highway, and with this exhaust, I'm feeling
kind of obnoxious from the loudness. I plan to swap out the exhaust
sometime soon, however I would like to know whether the RPM of
3500 @ 60 mph in 5th gear sounds ok or not.

that should be about right. the SI has a short gear ratio, so therefore you'll be cruising around at higher rpm's than other trannys.

we went from upstate new york to jersy to pick a tranny for a talon tsi *JUNK* with a buddy's si, stock exhaust but still loud.
