Rotor's snapping
Soon after my bro got a em1 he was pushed in a wall. Nothing happened but curbed rims, and broken rotors. Im sure he slamed on his brakes but would that cause the rotor to brake, it broke completly in two and wasnt even on the car.
he got it fixed and drove it some more'
Then he wrecked again, which he didnt make it out of (sucks). but the reports and offeciers say the rotor broke 20 feet before the trash.
What makes the driver side rotor brake so easily? even under load
thanks

i'm not sure I understand the "not even on the car" bit , but, if you have incorrectly fitted calipers or probably a very sticking cylinder, it can apply more pressure to one side of the rotor than the other and bend it till it breaks as the rotors are usualy made of a cast material,
This would be amplified if you had double sided calipers and one side was siezed up.
To be honest, I've only ever seen one, in my 50 years of working on cars.
I've seen badly cracked rotors caused by age and heat, but rarely seen one actually break off.
