Aftermarket brake rotors for StopTechs?
Working on some PM for the car and figured it would be a good idea to replace the rotors. I've been running the StopTech ST-40 ITR setup for a while now and replacement rotor cost is adding up. Does anyone know an aftermarket rotor shop (like Coleman Racing) that has generic rotors that would fit the ST hat?

When I was looking at upgrading my brakes from my Wilwoods I looked closely at wear item costs. The ST replacement rotors where among the cheapest and some of the nicest. It may have changed since then... Keep us posted as I am curios

Re: Aftermarket brake rotors for StopTechs?
I prefer to replace rotors and pads as a set. If I could find some 100$ replacements, it could be done.
Last time I bought ST rotors, they came out to about 350$ each. I found this place for 305 (but unsure of shipping)
Replacement Rotors and pads
So I don't understand why a 13" 1-piece Stop-Tech rotor for a mustang is 120$. But a replacement rotor and hat for my ST-40 is 450$.
Look at Coleman rotors for domestics:
Brake Rotors
70$-100$. Up to 200$ if I was running a cup car.
Coleman offers custom rotors. But their website is a pure nascar **** shop. I'm leery of contacting them with a question on my import setup. And anything 'custom' is not going to be cheap.

I must need to look again as I remember them being way less than that. I just finally got the car up and going and have not raced it hard enough to need any brake maintenance yet lol. How is your car doing? Anything new and exciting?

I've always found that Wilwood offers the best bang for you buck in terms of initial cost and cost to run. Pads, rotors are cheap and rebuild items are all reasonably priced and easy to get a hold of.
Our 2 piece Wilwood rotors are $80 each to replace the friction material. You can pay a little bit more for slotted etc but I usually just run the basic and they seem to hold up very well on our time attack car.
For the past 2 years we've run our Wilwood setup I've had to replace the friction material twice and we run an average of 7-8 time attack events per season along with 10-20 HPDE days.
Definitely been really happy with the operating costs and the performance that the Wilwood setup offers us.

Re: Aftermarket brake rotors for StopTechs?
Sorry for the late reply, just got back from cruising out of Miami. I've done jack-squat to the car in over two years now. I bought another hatch similar to the turbo-car (sans turbo) as a part cars, but have ended up running it on track last year during instructor sessions with NASA. So I haven't been completely off the track. Slowly working on the white car now with hopes of having it ready late spring.
