Reverse Lights dont work, also reverse feels odd going in.
Yes, I searched and went through a ton of the threads but I'm not sure of a couple things.
I've got a 93 si with a nearly brand new ITR trans. Apparently reverse lights has not come on since the trans was installed. What fuse would I need to check, and the reverse sensor...is that WITH the trans, or on the car?
Any sure fire way to check if its the sensor?
Pretty sure the answer is yes, but that will make the car fail inspection correct?
My other "problem" is shifting into reverse. It feels EXTREMELY weird. You cant hardly even feel it move, its not tight and feels really mushy. It goes in fine, but its not like going into a forward gear, meaning you feel the gate of that gear. Is this because its only got a few thousand miles on it?

evidentally the previous owner replaced the switch with a known working one. checked all wires, bulbs, and fuses.
he believes its whatever is inside the transmission itself that pushes the button on the switch which isnt making contact.
the transmission has a 12 month/ 12,000 mile warranty on it...although I dont know if that is transferrable.
My main worry is inspection.

not an option. especially with it under warranty.

It's a switch. Grab a multimeter, unplug the switch and measure the resistance with the car out of gear. Throw it into reverse - any change on the meter?

I'll try and do that soon.
Reverse took three times to get in just now. What the hell. I'm really curious if its because the trans is near new.
