Bad sound from clutch or transmisson
I have a 1993 Del Sol Si D16Z6. Recently I've had sound coming from the clutch or transmission. It at first sounded like a belt or something has broke and was still rotating and hitting slapping up against something. The noise come and goes and only lasts for a minute then goes away. The first time I heard it I was in first gear with the clutch pedal depressed. Now I hear it when decelerating with the clutch up and engaged in gear. Pushing the clutch down does not affect the sound but sometimes when I put it in neutral and let up on the clutch the noise goes away. I assume its some sort of bearing but the clutch it doesn't seem to fit any of the usual descriptions. Any ideas?

Re: Bad sound from clutch or transmisson
Its unrelated to engine speed and the only thing I've can associate with stopping the noise is letting up on the clutch in neutral. If it's not the clutch or the transmission where should I be looking. It's intermittant so it's frustrating to pinpoint.
