Does it make the same noise when you engage the clutch in gear, like when you're starting from a stop? Does it have to be in neutral or does the other noise just cover it up?

Does it sound like a bird chirping, go away when you push the clutch back in just a hair? If so, it's your throwout bearing/release bearing.
