Replacing Clutch-Should I do Synchros too?

Replacing Clutch-Should I do Synchros too?
First time posting in the Civic section, tons of good stuff on here.
I've got a 94 EX coupe, and the clutch is shot, so I'll be replacing it soon. I'm getting a grind now shifting into 3rd and 5th. My clutch is either really fried or coated in oil, when I add power in gear, the RPMs climb, then it finally catches, so it definitely needs to be replaced. Could the bad clutch cause the grinds too?
I don't think the car was beat on, I looked a long time for one that has not been modded, and finally found this one with 112K on the clock. Should I do the synchros too? It's been a while since I've been into a transmission, and that was a T5 out of a Mustang, but I'd rather not pull this thing out twice if I can avoid it.
Any advise would be appreciated

If you decide to replace the synchros, please create a DIY with many pictures to benefit other members.

From my understanding, the B and D are not too much different.
The D is easier as in you don't need a press to get the gears off the shafts from what I hear. Just a nice solid thump of the main shaft and secondary shaft onto a 2x4 and the gears start sliding.
The B needs a press.
Also the other bit I noticed is the B has a piece that you have to set in the proper position between two bearings that the D does not. Failure to put it in the proper 3/4 position prevents the B case from going together.
Other than that, I think they are relatively the same. Enough so that going through the B-series should amply prepare you to take the D apart and rebuild with the help of the FSM.

Wow. What the hell is going on here? Two moderators discouraging member DIYs. Please go away. There are too few DIYs. Can there be too many?

After I hit submit the thought occurred to me that I should mention a good quality D-Series DIY is always welcomed.
If anything the B-series DIY may actually provide some guidance in both the DIY creation as well as the actual tear down and rebuild process.
Just don't want the OP feeling obligated to create a DIY, but I will always welcome one if the OP is willing.
My apologies on not being welcoming of more solid tech threads. You are absolutely right Ron as usual. Thank you for pointing that out.

I need to re-rebuild my trans. I'll make a DIY when I do. When I last replaced my bearings and seals, I found a DIY on another forum. I didn't replace the two bearing behind the nut on the counter shaft, though. I didn't have a wrench or socket or even slip jaw pliers big enough to take the nut off.
The D trans was more difficult to take apart than the B in my opinion. I didn't tear the D down as much as I did my B, though. I imagine is someone read the B DIY then used the service manual for the D, it'd be easy enough.

Had a feeling it was going to be perceived that way.

I'll see what I can do about the DIY. I usually get going and forget to take pictures, but this time I plan on taking a lot to assist with reassembly.
We'll see how it goes.

Re: Replacing Clutch-Should I do Synchros too?
I never said I was discouraging the OP to NOT do a DIY
I posted a DIY so the OP could see what was involved so he could DIY. The B & D arent much different and noted in that thread..
I dont know how it got twisted, I thought it was self expanitory
