Default replacing antenna

I have a 98 coupe and my antenna broke a year ago, and i want to replace it and took the plastic trim off and just was looking around, how do you disconnect the antenna to pull the wire out of the a pillar?

Not sure how to pull it out but make sure you tie something to the end of the antenna wire so that you have something to pull the new antenna wire back through.

don't cut and sauder. I'm pretty sure it is just zip tied to some other wires by the fuse box. cut the zip tie. tie a string to the end. pull it all the way out. (the plug that goes into your stereo will come out of the hole where your antenna is.) Tie the string to the new antenna plug and pull it through.

What I did was buy an antenna block off plate for the EG (works on EK as well). Then I bought a universal amplified antenna, like this:

and put it under the dash. It works & looks much better than stock!

you can get the antenna and any car stereo shop, best buy, circut city, custom sounds places like that they will carry them they are like 25.00

Antenna connects to the back of the radio (if that's what yer looking for). You can still fish the new antenna line through the pillar without the string. How do you think they got the first one in there??? Good luck with whatever option you go with.
