replacement motor mounts?
i have a 2000 si and i need to get some replacement motor mounts. i daily drive the car and don't want something to extreme. i was looking at the hasport kit and like that they have different hardness's of urethane that you can get. i imagine the street would help cut down on vibration a little. does anyone have any experience with a replacement that would not drive me crazy with daily driving?

what they mean is, that you can feel the motor more. the rubber mounts supress any engine movement, giving the car a smooth ride and acceleration.
the urethane mounts are alot stiffer than the rubber (oem) ones, so the movement from the motor vibrates through out the car. you can feel it the most on the steering wheel and the floor.
LOL, if you have removed the carpeting, expect your feet to fall asleep after awhile.

LOL, yeah i know. the first time i went in a car with these mounts was my cousins EF. the car had great movement, but after awhile my feet would fall asleep, quite annoying.
this is the reasoning to whether i should get urethane mounts or not. still debating...

Re: (vroomvp)
this is your daily driver and you just want to replace the corroded rubber mounts?
just buy new ones from honda....no need to go all crazy with the aftermarket mods on it

When I drive my 92 EH B16A with HASport mounts, it sounds like loud exhaust (I have quiet WS exhaust by the way), they rattle the dash and anything in or on the car like mirrors, people etc. It reminds me of riding in an airplane noise-wise. With the stock mounts, the motor sounds smooth and very rev happy, but there is some engine torque when shifting at high revs. The urethane mounts make the motor sound like ****, pretty rough IMO. These mounts keep me from reving like I used too, but clutch engagement is super tight with little engine torque.
Get the AM mounts if you are racing. Use stock mounts for the street.
