Default Replaced timing belt...now car screeches?

I have just replaced my timing belt...and now my car screeches...i found out that the timing belt was "coming off" of the pulleys and rubbing against the plastic cover. What could be wrong?

You reinstall the guides that go with the oil pump? How about the correct way?

you forgot the outter belt spacer/guide,go and pull the power steerin belt of alt belt and ac(if with)belt and pull the crank pulley off and see if the belt guide is butted up against the belt and around the crank shaft after the pulley,if not then put it back on...make shure there is one on the other side to closest to the oil pump housing also

If your timing belt to too tight then that also will cause a high pitched whine.

Your bottom guide for the crank gear is off and that causes the belt to "walk" off. As for the screeching loosen the belt and re tighten t it is probably too tight.

I guarantee it's your alternator belt. Tighten that bitch up.

screeching is almost always a loose belt, i know form experience

EDIT- probably the alt. belt, does it screech right when you turn your car on and/or when you turn your lights on? all you have to do is tighten a bolt on the alternator (14mm?)
