replaced exhaust manifold

Re: replaced exhaust manifold
A bad manifold typically will not stall a car in the first place. Any CEL's?
Does it die after the first start of the day. I would def check the coil.

Re: replaced exhaust manifold
i replaced because it had a huge crack in it. it starts and run but when i drive it when coming to a stop it idles then dies. it starts again it just at stops it dies. if i throw it in neutral and rev it, i can keep it going

Re: replaced exhaust manifold
exhaust manifold? Even when completely off the car, the engine will still run, loud, but it will run.
Why did you replace the exhaust manifold?
Are you getting intake manifold confused with exhaust manifold?

Re: replaced exhaust manifold
That is if the car is a 97, that thing must of used gas like a hog while your exhaust was busted.

+2, have seen plenty of bad iacv cause a dying issue roll through the shop, clean the **** out of it and replace the figure 8 gasket, its less than two bucks from honda but, its also most likely a special order gasket.... Let the iacv dry for at least 20 min before putting back on car.... good luck
