Removing Drum Brakes
Been having a problem removing the driveside rear drum, got the left one off easy but the left side is making it hard for me.
Any suggestions that I could use for troublesome drums?

Taking the drum off to replace to shoes I only had to hammer the right side twice and it came right off but the driver side doesn't want to come off.

There is an access hole on the backing plate to turn the starwheel adjuster (part 17 in that pic). The drum probably has a groove in it in which the shoes are now resting, preventing the drum from coming off. Take a flat screwdriver or another tool that can access the wheel and push the bottom of the wheel towards the drum to walk the shoes back inward, and allow removal of the drum.

Correct! Then tap the drum with a hammer until it jiggles loose.

but also what happens more often is the rust on the hub will hold it on. that's why honda put two threaded bolt holes in the drum near the lug bolts. find some bolts that will fit this, (most 10mm head bolts from anywhere on your car will fit the threads). i suggest finding a bolt you don't need to do this with though. sometimes the bolt doesn't survive.
that's the sure way to do it though. just run the two found bolts in alternating between the two untill the drum breaks free.

9 times out of 10 people don't adjust them right or one side has more wear then the other side

As much as I <3 you and you're smart and all, that's not true.
Well it is true, but 10 times out of 10 the drum is stuck on there like a *****.
You will need to beat the ever-living **** outta it with a hammer to get it off. It's good if you need to relieve some anger.
Though yeah, back the shoes off one or two twists is always good too, but the drums are always seized on anyways, just hit it, big hammer, lots of times, it's annoying, but whatever.

F*ck drums....biggest pain in the ***...
There are threaded holes on the outside face of the drum, near the lug holes (I think its m8) - just start threading in two (one per side) and it should pop the drum off.
Youre replacing the shoes, so what do you care about if theyre a little shredded?

No, I asked him if he had it off ? If it was on, they would not come off. If I asked him if it was on, it still would be the same issue at what I was getting at.
