Rebuilt motor, oil pouring out when I started it for the first time
This is the first time I did anything this big, and I knew something would go wrong. I rebuilt the bottom end of my 2000 Si. Got it all back together yesterday. Tried building oil pressure by cranking it with the fuel and ignition disabled, but the oil light wouldnt go out. Said "expletive it" (bad idea I know), and just started it up. Fired right up. I got out of the car, it sounded good, except I heard this gurgling noise. I shut it down real quick, and saw that the car was pouring oil out of the back of the motor, near where the head meets the block, looks like the passeger side. I did a few searches, and everyone was saying that the cause was most likely an upside down head gasket. Just wondering if this is true, or if anyone else had any ideas. I'm just so pissed right now, because I thought I finally was going to have the car back running, now I have to take it all back apart.

If your 100% sure its coming from the block and head then my money is on the headgasket on there wrong as well. But i would also check your oil filter and oil pressure switch.
