Rebuilding my B18b, got a few questions?
Well as of a few days ago i got my motor torn all the way down, now its time to build it back up and i have a few questions before i start.
First off, im doing a LS turbo build.. i have a supertech valves, valve springs, titanium retainers, KMS valve guides, stage 2 crower cams, and ARP headstuds and rod bolts..
my first question is when it comes to valve seals which are better OEM or Supertech viton seals?
second, do you think cleaning up the stock pistons (they are in great condition) and putting new rings i would be able to safely push 13-15psi?
Thanks

13-15 psi would be pushing it. i have a b18b1 and im boosting it on a stock head and bottom end but im only pushing 9psi on stock pistons. and i even think im pushing it. lol if u safely wanna boost that high i think u should get lc pistons. and also it depends on ur tune..... i've seen some stock ls run up to 15 psi with a good tune.

yeah ive heard alot of people say they push 10 to 12lbs on a bone stock motor.
i plan to get low compression pistons but i cant afford them this time around. I only have another month to get the car running and i still have more parts to buy. i think by this summer ill probably tear the block back down and do pistons and rods.. possibly crank.
but as for THIS part of my build i cant afford them

so i think what i decided to do is get the supertech viton seals.
As for boost, i think ill get tuned on 15 lbs and daily drive it on around 10 or 12...
