Can anyone here tell me if the 93 hatch has the wire for the rear wiper on the glass pre-wired or no and if it is, can you tell me where it's at and show pix if you have. Thanks.

I don't know for sure w/o seeing your car. if it was there, it would be on the driver side of the rear hatch opening, probably tucked behind the big plastic interior piece, or maybe on the top of the headliner right behind the opening. I am pretty sure it is a 4 pin connetor, I'd have to look and get back to you.

If you're planning on installing a rear wiper, know that they also have a tube from the washer fluid tank that goes all the way to the back, as well as the motor on the tank that pumps the fluid. Don't forget about the wiper switch on the right side of the steeering wheel that has the additional controls for the rear wiper too. I removed mine so I'm just telling you the opposite of what I did

yea i knoe i would need the control switch on the right side of the steering wheel and the extra windshield spray line. but I'll check it in those area. Thanks.

you might need a washer fluid tank as well, I'm not sure if the ones from cars w/o rear wipers only have 1 pump motor for the windshield, or if they all have the second pump motor for the rear. (I'm guessing they don't) Then there's also the extra wire/harness that goes from the switch to the second pump motor on the washer tank... really a lot of details for something that sounds so simple like a rear wiper

I'm actually wondering what the inside of the hatch looks like on cars that don't have the rear wiper... is that black plastic box still there but just no wiper motor inside it?

I removed my wiper motor and that plastic box from the inside of the rear glass, but the latch was built in to that unit so now the rear glass has no way to latch to the tail gate. It can't lock I might have to keep that plastic box with the latch built into it and just leave the guts (wiper motor) out of it...

How does yours look with no rear wiper?
