EK Problems Help ..... b20vtec swap

Default EK Problems Help ..... b20vtec swap

Ok guys this is my first post been a honda-tech.com reader for along time, but never registered a account until now. Anyways The problem I have been having is I have a 97 Civic DX Coupe EK, and I did a swap on it first I had a b16a First Gen and Converted all the stuff on the first gen motor to obd 2 so I could run it. Converted the 3 wire to the 2 wire iacv. Car ran like a dream was great until 3 days later BOOM broke a rod in two. So I went to atarco to get a new motor and when I was there I was going to get a new b16a but decided to go b20. Well I get the motor home and start putting the thing together ls intake manifold, b16 fuel rail, and then I took off the intake manifold and noticed that the injectors that came with the b20 had alot of oil buildup ..... I was like hmm that can't be good... So I still went ahead and swaped in the b20 car ran ok at idle but, when I gave it gas it would bog really bad I went and took the plugs out sand blasted them and then it would run good ... it kept fouling the plugs..... I even took it too a good shop and even then they could not get the motor to run right would run good for alittle while and then start to bog... I replaced the fuel pump dizzy tryed diffrent ecu's everything .. not sure whats wrong... Im thinking it has something to do with the head .... so I replaced the head with a b16a first gen off my old motor and cleaned up and installed it so now the motor is a b20 vtec built right... and still same problem... Im beside my self I miss my civic and it wont run right... at this point I don't know what to do... Im thinking ok I need to check the wiring tb map iacv tps .. I don't know where to start .... or what to do ... and I think I have some wiring wrong and hoses mabye someone can give me some advice or pictures of there engine bay.. so I know what to do...
the harness Im running is a 99 Civic SI harness.

Maybe you gave the tps and map sensor plug mix togather. And are you still using your dx injectors to your motor? If you are, that is probably your problem since y7 injectors are 190cc.

Correction Im using a 97 civic EX harness.... On the injectors they are the stock DX injectors !!! You Really think thats the problem ..... ??? I thought all honda injectors are the same size (with 5 exceptions) 88-91 is obd0 92-95 is obd1 and 96-00 is obd2. they are all 240cc, from the civic dx to the integra type r, all 240cc, EXCEPT. CRX HF, 190cc. civic cx 190cc. civic vx 190cc. H22 prelude 345-360cc. and all dual point cars are different too.

Update !!! I just changed the Throttle body to another one I had and unpluged the tube for my map going to the throttle body and the car runs perfect !!! weird .....

Any Comments please!!!! I need your guys help

I take that back when I tryed to drive it .... started boging again .... still not sure whats wrong ...............
