REAR DISKS!! What Brakes Do I have? Stamped 7CLP13S
So I bought a beater dx hatch, came with a b16a and rear disks for a grand.
Was trying to adjust the ebrake today (which I still cant figure out if someome wants to explain it to me on a converted car, nut under console wont adjust enough, dunno what to do in the rear)
But the rotors/calipers in the back are probably going to need changing within 5-10k so I thought Id figure out what brake setup I actually had on the car.
The caliper is stamped 7CLP13S and what appears to say NISEN
Any ideas?

If adjusting the cable is not enought. There is a possibility that the cable is now over stretch.

I dont know if the install by previous owner was enough, all I can tell is that the ebrake is connected to the caliper, but does nothing with the ebrake engaged, even after I spunt the nut under the console fully to the end, still did nothing
so an adjustment needs to be made in the rear, but i dont know how

You cant just turn the nut to adjust the brakes.
You need to jack the rear of the car up, press the brake pedal a few times (I always over do it at like 10 times) and THEN turn the nut under the armrest.
You'll need to back that nut off a ways first, however.

Re: (pdiggitydogg)
With the nut turned all the way towards the front of the car, the ebrake still wont engage at all
Im assuming they need to be adjusted at the rear somehow, calibrated if you wanna say it that way

What numbers are stamped right under the MC on the metal portion facing towards the passenger side?

Jesus, Im telling you how to adjust the ebrake....
Yes, I know the nut wont do anything when you turn it...because youre not pressing the pedal first.
You can either listen to me and try jacking up the rear, starting the car, and pressing the pedal a few times, before turning the adjuster nut...
OR
You can continue to have this problem and wonder what the hell is going on.
I love how people are telling you to spend hundreds of dollars to buy new cables, while another tells you how to do it, according to helms, and youre telling that person "no, youre wrong"
You want me to scan the page out of the manual for you? It says the same ****.
