Default Car still overheating..

Alright I just put in a new Radiator Relay for my fan. And car is still over heating.

Would it be time to get a new thermostat and a new fan or what. Tomm morning I

will go check to see about my headgasket (well the coolant stuff being in there).

Your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Have you checked the coolant flow? The two most common problems that I see are water pumps going bad and crud building up inside the radiator itself.

Well no my fan nevers turns on. Just sits there, and doesnt come on. Well with the water pump, all have to let some check that out and my radiator. Prolly wil end up replacing everything. But if theres some other things you might know. Please let me know. And Ziggie I already read that Thread. Doesnt HELP!! Thanks guys.

Check to see if you have any bad fuses and if the fan motor works.

mines never turned on, i gave up after getting new thermostat, switch, and fan. so i just hooked up a switch so i can turn it on whenever i want. pretty easy, test light, wires, wire stripper, butt/wire connectors, relay/switch and time.

hey man.. mine did the same thing.... first check the fuse inside the car if thats cool, unplug the connection to the fan and see if the is power, after all that then wait for the car to get warm and feel the hose coming from the rad. see if it's hot. if it is then you cool but ifs its cold then your thermo is stuck on close, replace that bitch. mine was closed. if all else fails put a piece of cardboard under the car and see if its dripping at all, if that didnt help, sorry but i tried GOOD LUCK

If your fan doenst turn on, then you've found the problem. Check your fan motor and if you do decide to get a new thermostat, make sure to buy a failsafe one (I think thats what it's called, the ones that fail open instead of closed)

Ok thanks guys. On the hose getting hot I felt it the other day and it was hot. So my decision it to just take to mechanic and get new thermostat and place fan to always be on. And then if that doesnt work. Im FUCKED!

AAAAHHHH I typed all this and when I try to post I find Im not logged in anyways you need to check you coolant temp switch do a search and type overheat my thread should come up it might help first like the rest of the people are saying check the fans two wires to the batt and since you replaced the relay hopefully that should be good so next would be the temp switch if it is faulty then it will never tell the fan to turn on and if thats the case and it is bad then you might as well replace the thermostat since its right there
