your probably asking the question because on your valve cover, it doesnt say vtec. so look for somethin that looks like this, it is the vtec selenoid:

I got into arguments about this, people used to try to tell me that my old civic wasn't VTEC because it didn't say it on the valve cover. People are idiots, the Z6 is SOHC VTEC
