Quick y8 intake manifold swap question

Quick y8 intake manifold swap question
hey guys. I'm about to purchase a y8 Intake Manifold for my 97 Civic Dx. I was reading different posts on the swap and came across that if I use the automatic Ex y8 from a 96-98 Civic that it will bolt in with my y7 T.B. and be perfectly fine with no furthur modifications or upgrading. Now my first question is, is this true? And if so would a 99 Ex y8 automatic work? If there are any modifications that need to be done could you tell me?

Re: Quick y8 intake manifold swap question (RivalXCivic)
Quick answer...I don't think a DX came with a d16y8. Correct me of I'm wrong and I don't think it had a d16y8 manifold also.

99 EX auto manifold will also work, you will just have to plug up the air injection holes. Very simple task!

Re: (fishnfst)
I have a bare auto y8 manifold from a 99 civic for sale. I welded the air injection holes shut. I'm including the throttle rotor and spring that wou will need and a brand new oem y7 throttle body gasket. All you will need to buy seperate is the throttle stay bracket for the y8 manifold which you can get from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com for around $6. PM me if interested
