i was just thinking about lowering my car maybe 3/4 of an inch to 1 inch and was wondering if i would have to buy new struts if i planned on only lowering that much...?? also if i only want to lower it that much should i stick to maybe some h and r oe springs or go with ground control coilovers....because i was wondering since i am only going to be lowering it 3/4 to an inch...would struts/ coilovers be neccessary??? also....which would possibly give the smoothest ride

I wouldnt buy new struts.

I'd suggest the H&R oe springs.

with coils you basically have an almost same drop all around the car. with Coil overs your have to adjust your car to make sure the ride height is the same on all the wheels so its a pain to set up..

so if i wanna drop around 3/4 to an inch i should just get springs?

Yeah it's a big pain....unless you know how to count.
All you do is count the damn threads, what's so difficult?

If you're only lookin for an inch drop and nothing more than get some springs. Coils, only if you're lookin to adjust, obviously; there's no other advantage really.
I wouldn't get struts and shocks with an inch drop, but go ahead if you want a slightly stiffer ride... but with only an inch drop I wouldn't.

alright thanks any cheap sites for h and r oe springs

if you get new springs they will kill your struts sooner or later anyways so its not a bad idea to go both. plus it will ride way better anyways

If he's only lowering 3/4 of an inch.... no his struts will be fine.

It would ride <U>slightly</U> better though.

thanks for the input everyone yea i've heard my struts will be just fine and i mean its not really worth the 600 more to get those koni struts if i don't have to get them...i'm gonna go ahead and order the h and r oe springs thanks

actually when you install them you dont count the threads.. you measure the height of the center of the rim to the bottom of the fender and make sure they are the same on both sides every car has different weights on the corners.. thats why coil-overs were made to make the vehicle ride at the same height from left to right.
