Default question about brake rotors

I have a question about rotors. I know there is no advantage to using crossdrilled or slotted rotors on a street car, but are there disadvantages? I need new rotors and im looking for something good but at the same time score some points at car shows, i was thinking of going with brembos. Also what is a good pad that wont tear up my rotors and at the same time produce little brake dust

thanks for your help

The only disadvantages I could think of is that sometime they make a little noise wich is hardly noticable.
And 2 they dont have good initial bite untill you stop a few times. But if your driving that agressively just after starting your car you deserve whats coming to you.
I dunno alot about the brake pads alot of people go with hawk or aem.
