Using Used brake pads/ Bedding in question
Ok heres the deal,
basically I just got some new brembo rotors and hawkHPS pads...
but I think the bed in process was botched(didn't bed in enough).
So I want to try and "redo" the bedin process,
only way I can think of doing that is by resurfacing the rotors and then going at
it as if it were new again.
But you can't resurface pads..
I've gone back and tried bedding in more, but this after already driving on the brakes for a while, it helped and the brakes are fine for daily driving and stuff, they stop the car. But i'm pretty sure they should be better than this.
SO I guess my question is, would it be better to just run them as is,
or resurface the rotors, then do the bed in process properly, even though it would be on used pads.

Never use used pads on different rotors. The pads take the shape of the rotors. They will cut that shape into the new rotors, and as you said, you don't resurface pads. They're going to squeek and they're not going to use the full surface of the pads. What you need to do is get some new pads, and if you've been driving on the rotors for a while, get them resurfaced.
The rule is that whenever you change the rotors, get new pads. You can change the pads w/out changing the rotors, though you might want to get them resurfaced depending on how they look. Not any other variation of this rule.

thank you,
that is exactly what I needed to know.
guess I've got no options then, heh.
if these don't work out, i'll get new pads and resurface the rotors.

yeah I could see that helping
i'd be worried about not being able to sand it down perfectly "flat" though
and I believe a broken in pad probably.
guess if I went to the right machine shop they could probably figure a way
to refinish both the pads and rotors
