Default Question about blocks and strokes. B-series

my friend tells me that all b18 series motors are pretty much interchangeable. meaning that you can use a gsr block with a ls crank and so forth. so is it possible to drop in a b20 crank and pistons in either a gsr or ls block. thus meaning having a block saying it's a 1.8 but it's really a 2.0? My option if possible would be a gsr block, b20 crank and of course the vtec head. This way i could get the motor bar'd as a gsr but it's really a b20 vtec,.
i am little drunk now, so any of this might not have made sense.

yes b series internals are interchangable for example if you have an gsr motor you can use the ls crank for more stroke but you would have to also use the rods now if you put crv crank, rods and pistons in a gsr you would have to sleeve then rebore the cylinders to fit the pistons then you would have a 2.0 in a 1.8 i hope this helps you as i too have been drinking a little(thank god im not the only drinkin on a weekday )

Almost all B-series parts are interchangable to some state.

You can use a Gsr block with an Ls crank, and LS block with a gsr crank and so on.
You can drop a B20 crank into a gsr, as the b20 crank is the same as an LS crank.
The pistons on the other hand, are different from all the other B-series. All B-series are 81mm, besides the B20's which have an 84mm bore.
