b20 block with gsr crank help?
hi, i can get a nice deal on a b20 block with no crank and a gsr crank locally, I'm wondering if i can put this in and make it work I know people put gsr cranks in ls engines and the b20 is very similar to the ls but i just want to make sure. thanks
if you put a gsr crank in a b20 it will destroke the motor....and what is the point of loseing all the torque of the b20....just find a gsr block to put it in.....my opiion sorry if its not what ya wanted to know

Nope, actually that is incorrect.... All B series except for the B20 have an 81mm bore. The difference is the stroke.. B17 has an 81.4mm stroke and the B18C has an 87.2mm stroke... that's where you get the extra displacement. About the girdle, you don't have to put it in but it does help... Just have the main caps milled.. Laterz
