Default b20 block with gsr crank help?

Not if the crank is a B17A crank from a 92-93 GS-R. If I'm not mistaken, the B17A crank has a longer stroke than any of the other B series engines.

Nope, actually that is incorrect.... All B series except for the B20 have an 81mm bore. The difference is the stroke.. B17 has an 81.4mm stroke and the B18C has an 87.2mm stroke... that's where you get the extra displacement. About the girdle, you don't have to put it in but it does help... Just have the main caps milled.. Laterz

Also i forgot to add, if you drop a B17 crank in you'll be right back to 1.8L
