Default B series parts swaps

I have read a little about people putting B17 cranks into B20 and B18 blocks. Is it worth the trouble doing it? I could see the engine losing displacement because of it, but fail to see any gains in doing it. I was just thinking about it considering I do have both engines sitting in the garage right now.

i might be wrong, but i understand that the B17 block was the first USDM GSR (dohc vtec) so i'm guessin that if you are goin to put it on a b20 or a LS b18 it could help due to the fact that the crank is stronger and that it would be able to REV higher than a normal LS or CRV block. it would be the same as puttin a GSR crank on becuz of the higher REV capabilities. so compared to a stroker kit if you are tight on a budget... **** i'll would do it.

putting a gsr crank in an ls or b20 block destrokes it to give it a better r/s ratio
