Pulsing lights
Ok well 2 weeks ago my lights started pulsing and my idle is a little goofy. So I have been doing the normal stuff trying to fix it. I cleaned the grounds made sure they were tight, got a new battery, had my alternator tested at 2 different places = same results its ok. However, if I unhook my alternator well the positive cable, my idle goes back to normal and the pulsing lights stop. I thought maybe the ECU was screwing **** up since 92-95 civics have external regulators for alternators but that didnt work either. So I just ran all new wires battery wire, starter wires and ran the alternator straight to the battery but its still doing the same thing. Any ideas???????

92-95 alternators have internal regulators. the ECU has control of the field but it's only adjusted based on engine RPM and load.
check for wiring problems, especially in the alternator wires.

Re: (Relic1)
oh yea i have a jdm b16 in there if that makes a difference... using a p28 chipped ecu and the original harness for the car.
Now that I think about it, are the 92-95 ex alternators the same as the del sols?
