Pulleys and cams
What are the benefits of new cams and pulleys? With a cam gear I am messing with the timing and getting more power from that, but what about an under pulley? What is it that this thing does? Is this a further timing adjutment? If I install a pulley is it still streetable or will it kill my motor? I am new to the whole honda deal so please spare the newbe cracks. Also, can I install this on a D15 engine? Thanks

Underdrive pulleys are another easy bolt-on that adds a few horsepower. These free up power that is otherwise used powering the engine accessories (such as the alternator, compressor, water and power steering pumps.) However, proper installation is critical as some owners have reported crankshaft damage after installing underdrive pulleys. Also, make sure you get pulleys that include a replacement crankshaft dampener instead of the type that bolt a new pulley over the existing dampener as these have been reported to work much better.

I recently got a new underdrive crank, I'd say it was well worth the money. As soon as it was installed I noticed a large torque increase, but that wasn't the pulleys, just the crank.

an underdrive pulley will not "make" power for you.. rather free up HP from parasitic drag. They are a waste of money if you ask me.. Maybe 1-2HP difference over stock. I dont know how you can "feel" the difference in something so minute. I guess guys just add stuff to there car and "think" they are going faster.. it must give them some kinda of placebo or psychological effect.
If you get one.. make sure its balanced.. otherwise it can damage your crank bearings. But if you get one...I suggest the Honda OEM N-1 racing pulley. Good luck..
