looks nice, but if you don't care about style just go for the 3 dollar heat shield

Why did you remove your A/C and cruise control?

better idea.. try desinging an cold air intake cover which is like a black plastic wrap over the intake tube and a fake black pastic box covering the part where the intake goes down so people can pass smog and not be harassed by cops.

Yes I removed teh A/C and cruise. and Power steering. It is a project race car tat will be street legal in the loosest sense of the term. I doubt if it will dyno any differently because it is largly dependant on air being forced into it from a pipe in the bumper. I used this aluminum material because it is much lighter and easier to work with than plastics. The entire heat shield weighs less than half a pound. I am trying to get this or a version of this into production and offer a universal kit for around $50-$60. which will include: metal plates, precut and drilled. Air pickup and piping from bumper. Instuctions. It is not completly sealed because testing showed that if I sealed teh box air from the bumper had no where to go except intothe engine, The new free flow design allows a constant supply of fresh air flowing across the box keeping the sides of it cool. Except when you are sitting in traffic of course.

Excellent fabrication work

BTW, it kinda looks like the one FEEL'S/Honda Twincam used to offer (except it was blue)

I'd hate to touch that thing after a hot drive in AZ this summer. I'd buy a plastic one.

I'd go plastic, It doesnt have near the heat conducting of metal.
